Green Transition and European Competitiveness is a Czech two-year (four-semester) professionally-oriented Master’s programme that offers a number of unique elements such as:

  1. Combination of EU policy-oriented knowledge with an emphasis on green transformation

  2. Involvement of experienced professionals from the private and public sectors in teaching

  3. Modern teaching methods introduced in unique courses taught mainly in English

The programme is designed to link the specifics of the functioning of the European Union, its principles and mechanisms, with an emphasis on green transition and competitiveness. It focuses on the economic, social, technological, and environmental impacts, opportunities, and challenges associated with the deployment of green technologies and innovation. In the area of EU competitiveness, it focuses on the role of innovation, economic security and decarbonisation as key drivers of EU competitiveness.

The aim of the Green Transition and European Competitiveness programme is to train top management and business professionals and equip them with knowledge and skills in the dynamic environment of small, medium or large enterprises, EU institutions, public administrations or NGOs. Students will gain a comprehensive knowledge and overview of EU developments. They will acquire analytical and leadership skills and will have a unique opportunity to develop creative, innovative skills and thinking.

 


The creation of the programme was co-funded by the European Union, within the framework of the “Supporting Green Skills and Sustainability in Higher Education” component 7.4 of the National Recovery Plan for 2023-2025 – Adaptation of Educational Programs, project title Sustainable Education and Environmental Development (SEED), reg. number NPO_VSE_MSMT-2146/2024-5.
